ABA Therapy

for Children with ASD

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy is based on the science and understanding of human behavior.

The overall goal is to promote positive, long-term outcomes, while reducing maladaptive behaviors.

ABA employs evidence-based strategies to determine variables in an environment that may positively or negatively impact an individual and their response to specific stimuli.

Is ABA Therapy right for your child?

Applied Behavior Analysis is considered the gold-standard treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental diagnoses. Therapy can improve communication skills, social skills, and reduce maladaptive behaviors. Research has shown that early intervention with ABA Therapy can promote life-long positive outcomes. Therapy will include the patient and their family, as parent involvement is a crucial component to the treatment process. Parents will work with their BCBA and Behavior Technician to identify behaviors their child may need assistance with. BCBA’s will also work with parents to identify strategies that can be used to generalize skills at home and in other environments.
